Hundreds Of Okada Riders Storm John Dramani Mahama’s House To Assure Him Of Their Unflinching Support

Hundreds of commercial motorcyclists- known widely in Ghana as Okada have stormed the residence of former President John Dramani Mahama to show him their unflinching support ahead of the 2020 polls.

The visit is on the heels of the promise the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) made by saying he would legalize their operations should he win the elections in December 2020. According to him, the Okada business has become a means of sustenance for young people who are unemployed.

John Darmanai Mahama warmly received the riders and talked to reporters who were also present, saying indeed he wants to regulate their activities. The excited riders said they have realized the NPP wants to hoodwink them by rushing to legalize their operations just to score cheap political points after Mahama first the promise but won’t fall their schemes.
