Ghana’s ambassador to the U.S. says Sarkodie and D-Black are nowhere in the U.S. after reports claimed they’ve remained in the country over the closure of Ghana’s borders due to COVID-19.
Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States of America (USA), H.E Baffour Adjei Bawuah has stated that Sarkodie and D-Black are not in the USA as earlier reported.
Reports that went viral weeks ago revealed that Sarkodie got stuck in the USA after Ghana’s borders were closed on Sunday, March 22, 2020 when he was returning from a trip to Spain.
News later came in stating that D-Black is also stuck in the USA.
H.E Baffour Adjei Bawuah in an interview on GhOneTv with Serwaah Amihere monitored by MyNewsGh.com disclosed that per his confidential checks, Sarkodie is in Europe and not the USA.
He further went on to say Sarkodie and D-Black are not part of the nationals who have expressed interest in being flown back to Ghana from the States.
Ghana’s ambassador to U.S. said about 300 Ghanaian in the USA have so far expressed interest in returning home on the government’s chartered flight.
As it stands now, 33 Ghanaians in New York City have died from Coronavirus. A lot more are said to be living with the virus.
